Energy Systems Integration: A Thorough Understanding
Energy Systems Integration: A Thorough Understanding
Build an integrative mindset. Expand the value of your work through systems thinking, and get the tools to quickly boost your knowledge in new disciplines.
Demand is rising for a global energy system that is sustainable, affordable and reliable. To meet this demand there is an increasing need for a new kind of energy professional: the next generation of transdisciplinary thinkers with the integrative mindset to join the dots, spot the opportunities and see the bigger picture in global energy.
Energy Systems Integration is a unique, online learning experience. Delivered by InnoEnergy (one of Europe’s foremost authorities in sustainable energy education) and ESIG (the leading source of global expertise for energy systems integration and operations in the United States), this collection of online courses bridges the knowledge gaps between the critical disciplines in energy, empowering you to understand how they connect, how you can collaborate across areas of specialism, and how to expand existing business models and leverage new areas of expertise to deliver greater value.
Through flexible online interaction with faculty, video lectures with industry experts, self-paced evaluation exercises and access to next-generation learning resources, you will:
- Master the distinct elements of the energy system – from energy markets to power system technology, regulation, electromobility and consumer behaviour
- Appreciate how they can be integrated within the energy system to drive sustainability, affordability and reliability
- Understand the roles and inputs of experts from different disciplines such as engineering, economics and behavioural science
- Identify your own role in energy integration and draw on examples from other disciplines to spot opportunities and overcome challenges
- Apply systems thinking to your own field of expertise to develop, plan, and operate a truly integrated sustainable energy system.
What will you learn?
Energy Systems Integration gives you an integrated perspective on today’s energy market and insight into emerging, innovative and smart solutions. Multidisciplinary in approach, this collection of courses looks at energy systems from the vantage point of five disciplines:
For each of the disciplines, a member of faculty will explore six lessons, after which an industry expert will illustrate those lessons with real-world case studies. Energy Systems Integration exposes you to how these disciplines overlap, how different energy systems interact and how you can leverage your own energy expertise within the broad framework of the global energy transition. You emerge empowered to apply systems thinking to your own sector, organisation or business challenge. With the knowledge to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. And a world-class industry network to draw on as you devise innovative, integrated strategies that deliver value.
How will you learn?
The courses leverage state-of-the-art teaching methodology and technology to deliver a fully interactive learning experience. You will be guided through new concepts and best practices, embedding your learning and translating theory into direct practice as you progress.
