Engineering & Business Case Teaching Workshop

Engineering & Business Case Teaching Workshop

Enter the world of Case Teaching in Engineering Courses. Develop your skillset. Master the methodology.

We will announce the next run of this course in due course. If you are interested and would like to know when this course is open for enrolment, register your interest below.

The Engineering & Business Case (E&BC) concept, developed by InnoEnergy, is a novel pedagogy which uses case teaching as methodology on Engineering courses. By integrating practical experience (based on real events) with theoretical knowledge, it brings a new dimension to the classroom.

What is this workshop about?

The E&BC method enables educators to consider cultural and economic perspectives in their teaching, and opening their students’ minds by helping them solve problems that are based on real situations. The methodology allows students to build their confidence levels, develop their decision-making abilities, and improve their communication and cooperation skills in a competitive environment.

►It will take place at:
Edifici Vèrtex, Classroom VS208
Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
Plaça Eusebi Güell 6, 08034
Barcelona, Spain

Is it right for you?

The workshop has been specifically designed for technical teachers, lecturers and/or trainers with little or no knowledge or experience in case-teaching methods. It is the first in a series of workshops where participants will learn to master the E&BC teaching methodology, enabling them to develop cases and to teach using those cases.

If you have any questions about the course content, please feel free to send an email to Our team would be happy to assist you.

What will you learn?

During the workshop, you will explore:

  • What the case-teaching method is and its potential for your own teaching practice
  • The learning experience from a student perspective when using E&BC
  • How to get started with the E&BC teaching methodology
  • Where to find cases written by other experts
